How This Place Runs
Homebrew is member-run. There's no front desk, no community manager, no one coming in behind you. What the space is on any given day is whatever the people in it made it.
That's the deal. It's also the best part.
Be excellent to each other
Respect, kindness, and the assumption of good faith. Non-negotiable.
Share freely
Knowledge, tools, contacts, half-finished ideas. The value here compounds when people give things away.
If it's broken, fix it
Don't file a ticket. Don't wait for someone whose job it is โ there is no such person. Ownership beats permission, and the space gets better because someone decided it was their problem.
When in doubt, ask two
Not sure if a change is yours to make? Get a yes from two other members and go. That's the whole process.
Leave no trace
Clean up after yourself. Dishes, desk, whiteboard, whatever you dragged out. The space is only as good as the last person who used it.
Bring an artifact
We encourage every new member to bring something to the space. Useful or useless โ a tool we're missing, or a thing that makes no sense at all. Either counts. It's what makes the place feel like yours.
